She graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Department of Music at Doshisha Women’s University. During her time there, she performed as a soloist in an orchestral concert and received the prestigious Masako Ishimura Award. Upon graduation, she was selected for numerous newcomer concerts, showcasing her early promise as a performer.

Since 2023, Rayleigh has transitioned from a classical foundation to the world of jazz. She has performed in a wide range of live shows, jam sessions, and recordings both in Japan and the U.S. Her monthly solo concerts in Tokyo, launched in 2023, have consistently sold out, reflecting her growing popularity.

In addition to leading her own projects, Rayleigh collaborates as both a lead artist and sideman on recordings with various musicians. With a wealth of musical experiences behind her, she continues to pursue a sound that is uniquely her own.

Rayleigh（レイリー）は東京を拠点に活動するサックス奏者／作編曲家／インストラクター。
R&B、スムースジャズ、チル、Lo-fi、ポップスなど、ジャンルにとらわれないサウンドが特徴で、ときにはクラシックのエッセンスも織り交ぜながら、心に響くメロディと繊細な音作りを追求している。

Arno Bornkamp、Candy Dulfer、Gerald Albright、Grover Washington Jr.、Billy Joel、FKJなど、ジャンルを超えた多くのアーティストから影響を受け、その音楽は「歌うようなサックス」と評されることも多い。音楽を通じて、誰かの一日に小さな幸せや笑顔を届けることが目標。

同志社女子大学 学芸学部 音楽学科を卒業。在学中にはオーケストラのソリストとして抜擢され、「石村雅子賞」を受賞。卒業後も多数の新人演奏会に選出されるなど、クラシックシーンでの実績を積む。

2023年からはジャズを中心とした活動にシフトし、日本とアメリカでライブ、セッション、レコーディングを精力的に行う。特に東京で開催している自主ライブは、2023年以降毎月開催され、全公演が満席になるなど注目を集めている。

2024年夏、LAとサンディエゴにて自身のファーストアルバムのレコーディングを行う。
1stアルバム“What Lies Ahead” 9/12 デジタルリリース。CDは10/5リリース。

現在は自身のプロジェクトをはじめ、さまざまなアーティストの作品にも参加。フロント奏者としてもサイドマンとしても活躍し、ジャンルや国境を越えて、Rayleighにしか出せない音を日々探求している。

国内五つ星ホテル系列の演奏も務める。中学、高校の吹奏楽部の指導や個人レッスンの他、
石森管楽器で講師を務める。自身のアーティストグッズ展開にも力を入れており、デザインなども手掛ける。
音楽情報雑誌 “Sax World” にて連載”Welcome to Saxophone Journey”を2025年3月より担当。
