Based in Tokyo now, but an Osaka-born and raised composer, arranger, and instructor. Rayleigh’s musical style includes RnB, Smooth Jazz, Chill, Lo-fi, Pops, and sometimes Classics. Taking influence from artists including Arno Bornkamp, Candy Dulfer, Gerald Albright, Grover Washington Jr, Billy Joel, FKJ, and many others has given her a sound full of singing heart. Her goal is to bring smiles and happiness to many people.

She graduated from Doshisha Women’s University, Faculty of Arts, Department of Music. She appeared as a soloist in an orchestra concert held at Doshisha Women’s University and won the Masako Ishimura Award from the same university. She was selected for numerous newcomers concerts upon graduating from university.

Since 2023, she has shifted from classical music to Jazz.  She has participated in numerous live performances, sessions, and recordings in Japan and US. Her own live performances, held monthly since 2023 in Tokyo, have sold out each time due to her popularity. 

Now, she is also a frontman and sideman, recording with various artists. She has experienced a variety of music and is constantly pursuing a sound that only she can produce.

大阪出身。同志社女子大学学芸学部音楽学科首席卒業。
同志社女子大学で開催されたオーケストラコンサートにソリストとして出演。同大学 石村雅子賞受賞。
第88回読売新聞新人演奏会、第59回関西新人演奏会、第15回日本サクソフォーン協会新人演奏会に出演。
文化庁の芸術家の派遣事業や京都市消防音楽隊としての活動も経験する。
宝塚歌劇団にテナーサックス兼クラリネットで参加。

現在は関東に拠点を移し、国内外問わず活動している。ジャズやポップスを中心に自身のライブの他、
アーティストのサポートやレコーディング、ミュージカルの劇伴等やMV撮影にも参加する。

2023年11月NYでのライブ、12月にワシントンD.C.でのライブを成功させる。2024年夏アメリカ4ヶ所で
ギグやコンサートなどに出演し、LAとサンディエゴにて自身のファーストアルバムのレコーディングを行う。
1stアルバム“What Lies Ahead” 9/12 デジタルリリース。CDは10/5リリース。

国内五つ星ホテル系列の演奏も務める。中学、高校の吹奏楽部の指導や個人レッスンの他、
石森管楽器で講師を務める。自身のアーティストグッズ展開にも力を入れており、デザインなども手掛ける。
音楽情報雑誌 “Sax World” にて連載”Welcome to Saxophone Journey”を2025年3月より担当。
